Julia and I went with our friends Laurie and Delaney to downtown DC. We met Laurie's husband Hal, who works at the FBI headquarters, and got to take a tour. After the logistics of getting in the building through multiple gates and secured passageways, we were surprised at how sterile the hallways felt. I guess we were all thinking it would be different. Hal and Laurie took us to lunch at a great place near Chinatown. After lunch Laurie and I strolled through the National Portrait Gallery. We had a fun time and we love living in a place where there is ALWAYS something to do!!!
